Week 4 -
The firsts played Coundon at home at Saturday Rainton batted first achieving 188 for 8 off the 45 overs. Neil Matthews was bowled early on for 2, Chris Vallance was run out for 58, Michael Robbie caught for 23, Sachin Sharma caught for 11. Will Orchin caught 37, Chris Paton caught 11, Lee Henderson not out 29, Anthony Ashman bowled 4, Darren Portrey run out 0, Luke Richardson not out 5. The top bowler was AD Tait 3 for 53.
After what was admitted by all to be a very good tea we returned to the field. Coundon put up some stout resistance AD Tait batting well with 49. ending up on 129 all out. The bowling was as follows:

A 59 run victory 20 points against a very good side.
The second team game has been re-arranged for later in the season, so everyone could go and watch Sunderland draw 0 - 0 with Leicester.
On the Sunday the firsts travelled to Beamish for another tough game. Beamish batted first reaching 89 all out, G Craig opened the batting achieving 25 top scoring. Our bowlers displayed how good we can be:

After tea we lost Lee Henderson bowled for 5, Sachin Sharma caught for 25, Michael Robbie LBW 0, James Messer caught 0, Colin Henderson LBW 14. Will Orchin caught 23, Chris Paton Not Out 5, Anthony Ashman bowled 0 and Luke Richardson not out 4. Gaining us another 20 points for a tough, low scoring game. Well done lads.
