The seconds faced Coundon seconds, Coundon once again batted first, reaching 74 all out with J Thompson top scoring on 16. The bowlers once again performed well, Ian Kitching 3 for 20, Derrick Steinberg 0 for 25, Connor Henderson 2 for 19, Darren Portrey 3 for 6 and Grant Wilson 1 for 3. In reply we reached the total without the loss of a wicket. With Tom Rennie 30 not out and Alan Maskell 32 not out.
On Sunday the Hazard ground played host to the Amos Lowing/ Wilson shield final. Unfortunately the game was abandoned part way into the second innings due to heavy rain so the final has been re-scheduled for the 6th September. Kimblesworth (who weren't too happy at the final being played at our ground!) batted first finishing the 30 overs on 124 for 8, A Carse top scoring with 87 not out. Our bowling was Derrick Steinberg 3 for 12, Muhammad Hussein 0 for 39, Darren Portrey 0 for 22, Saud Ahmed 2 for 11 and Connor Henderson 1 for 37. In reply Rainton reached 38 for 1 and were in charge of the game when rain stopped play, with Riley Blunt 8, Muhammad Hussein 19 not out and Michael Williamson 1 not out closed play.
