Chairman Graham Avent gave an overview of the year. Firsts won the Glenn Pattison, becoming only team to beat Seaham Harbour this year. And the seconds won their division, undefeated in the league. A good year on the field. Plus add a new pavilion into the mix and things are in the up. The accounts were explained including yet another (26th) successful sportsmans dinner. The committee were voted back in as was the groundsman and tea ladies. All of them were thanked for their work. As well as the new pavilion, an outline was given of the other works (drainage, fencing and field levelling) which are in the pipeline. This year we successful launched free cricket coaching in the village school, this seasonwe hope to continue and expand this. Finally we elected this seasons captains:
1st XI Capt - Jack Holding
1st XI vice - Connor Henderson
2nd XI Capt - Scott Taylor
2nd XI Vice - Colin Henderson.
Jefferson building solutions have been battling the November weather. But work on the Sport England funded pavilion has continued, with just the roof tiles to go on before we are finally watertight.
Plus we now have 82 chairs and 4 tables waiting to go into the new community space when its finished.
