The seconds hosted Tantobie in their final home game of the season. It turned out as always between these sides to be a friendly encounter. Rainton batted first making 166 for 7. Colin Henderson opened the batting before being caught for 25, Kevin Hall was caught but not before adding 62 on his rainton return, Tom Rennie was LBW 6, Scott Gillan caught for 1, Adam Thwaites Caught for 9. After a fall of some quik wickets Rachel Petherick arrived at the crease to steadied the ship with 21 not out. Kieran Burrell was bowled for 10, Adam Bell was bowled for 8 and Michael Wildish was 0 not out.
After the usually high standard of tea at the Hazard, Tantobie put up a fight despite having ten men, however they were bowled out for 93. With Rachel Petherick 3 for 22, Scott Gillan 0 for 42, Ian Kitching 3 for 15, Kieran Burrell 2 for 9 and Adam Bell 1 for 0.
So two good games. Next week the firsts take on Stanhope at the Hazard, the seconds travel to Burnhope in their final game of the year.
