This left us top of Division 2 just 3 points ahead of Simonside.

The firsts travelled to Beamish in search of an elusive win but fell short by 27 runs. Beamish made 118 all out, with Chris valance 2 for 32, Derrick Steinberg 0 for 19, James Messer 1 for 28, Connor Henderson 4 for 18, Ben Mummery 1 for 7 and Ian Kitching 1 for 6. In reply we struggled with the bat reaching 91 all out. Ben storey 7, Luke Richardson 0, Connor Henderson 4, Jack Holding 0, Dave Wales 0, James Messer 29, Chris Valance 14, Stephen Hutchinson 11, Ben Mummery 7, Derrick Steinberg not out 6 and Ian Kitching 2.

Sunday saw us in the role of underdogs, as we took on newly crowned and undefeated league champions Seaham Harbour. In the final of the Glenn Pattison memorial trophy. We batted first making 108 all out, with Neil Matthews 8, Michael Williamson 30, Luke Richardson 14, Connor Henderson 11, James Messer 0, Jack Holding 15, Grant Wilson 1, Chris Valance 5, Colin Henderson 1, Kieran Burrell 6, Derrick Steinberg 5 not out. In reply the crowd fell silent as the wickets tumbled with Harbour finally bowled out for 91. With Chris VaLance 2 for 16, Derrick steinberg 2 for 18, Connor Henderson 1 for 29, James Messer 2 for 13 and Jack Holding 3 for 10. Man of the match, skipper Jack Holding. Well done lads for a brilliant team effort.
Pavilion update
Finally our Sport England funded pavilion is underway, with builder Jefferson building solutions are making quick progress. One week has seen the foundations poured and the first brick work now in place. The floor should be laid by the time you read this on Tuesday.
