On sunday we faced Kibblesworth, these games are always close encounters and sundays was no different. Kibblesworth batted first making 83 all out, With Scott Taylor 2 for 33, Jordan Bell 3 for 24, Connor Henderdon 3 for 12 and Kieran Burrell 2 for 10. Our innings saw wickets regularly falling, but we scraped home and won the league title with two wickets in hand. Michael Williamson 9, Scott Gillan 2, Ralph Richardson 12, Connor Henderson 6, Scott Taylor 18, Rachael Petherick 2, Kieran Burrell 10, Adam Bell 8 not out, Ben Mummery 0 and Jordan Bell 1 not out. Skipper Colin Henderson did not bat. So well done to skipper and everyone that's played for the seconds this year.
We would like to thank Kibblesworth for rearranging this fixture from earlier in the season, in difficult circumstances.
The seconds do have one more match on Saturday 14th Sept versus Burnhope @ Seaham Harbour. In the final of Johnson/Coates trophy.
The firsts also played Belmont and ran out 6 wicket Victor's. Belmont batted first making a strong 153 for 6. With Chris Valance 0 for 33, Derrick Steinberg 1 for 19, Connor Henderdon 0 for 26, Ian Kitching 3 for 28, Jack Holding 1 for 26 and Carl Levy 0 for 14.
After tea Neil Matthew's scored 16, Stuart Archbold 19, Luke Richardson 21, Connor Henderson 27, Jack Holding 41 not out and Chris Valance 21 not out. A nice team batting effort. Next week the firsts visit Murton.
