And we achieved victory chasing a strong total of 232 all out from Ryhope, Chris Vallance 0 for 3, Ben Foster 2 for 45, Manav Seth 2 for 50, Derrick Steinberg 3 for 52, Gavin Snowball 1 for 30, Jack Blake 1 for 34 and Conor Henderson 0 for 5. After tea Gavin Snowball got us off to a good start with 28, despite losing opening partner Ben Sims for 4, Lee Henderson returned to last seasons form making 84, Luke Richardson reached 71 not out, Conor Henderson 0, Jamie Parkinson 18 and Jack Blake 11 not out saw us home.
Hylton
The second team actually played a game on a Saturday! Travelling to Hylton Colliery welfare, the home side batted first making a formidable 190 for 9. Which if we reached it would be the highest total we had scored this year. in the end end we won by 3 wickets. Kieran Hill took 0 for 24, James Messer 3 for 52, Kieran Burrell 1 for 46, Rachel Petherick 1 for 45 and David Wales 4 for 18. After tea Neil Matthews and Phil Nathan got us off to a good start with 51 and 33, Alan Maskell 1, Scott Gillan 16, Stuart Archbold 0, Kieran Burrell 27, Rachel Petherick 8, Kieran Hill 15 not out and James Messer 19 not out saw us home.
