The final league game of the season, saw the first team win the division unbeaten, as the beat a understrength Burnhope side by 8 wickets.
Batting first the home team made 105 all out, Chris Vallance taking 2 for 27, Kieran Hill 0 for 30, Gavin Snowball 3 for 11, Derrick Steinberg 2 for 26 and Noah Worthy 3 for 7. In reply we passed the total for the loss of 2 wickets. Neil Matthews adding 26, Ben Storey 27, Lee Henderson 36 not out and Luke Richardson 13 not out.
The first teams final game will be the Johnson/Coates cup final at Ryhope on the 19th September.

Kimblesworth 90 all out
After a thrashing at the hands of Kimblesworth earlier in the season, this game had turned into a relegation 25 pointer. Luckily it was Rainton who came out victorious and securing our place in Division 5 next season.
bacting first we made 190 for 5, our highest score this sseason. Scott Gillan 17, Phil Nathan 15 (run out by Scott!), Rachel Petherick 13, Kieran Burrell 24, Michael Foster 70 not out, Roy Hardwick 5 and Jonathan Arnold 6 not out. In reply the visitors fell exactly 100 runs short, with Ben Foster taking 2 for 27, Jon Arnold 4 for 15, Jordan Bell 0 for 10, Kieran Burrell 1 for 23 and Rachel Petherick 2 for 9. So a victory on the last game on the famous Rainton bumps (the outfield levelling starts next week!).

A bad day at the offic for the seconday as we were rolled over by ten wickets away at newly crowned division champions Seaham Harbour, stand in Skipper Jack lost the toss and we were asked to bat, making 141 all out. Scott Gillan 7, Rachel Petherick 26, Jack Holding 23, Roy Hardwick 55, Jonathan Arnold 6, Manav Seth 2, Ben Mummery 0, Jason Barnes 1, Adam Bell 0, Glen Moody 5, Ben Foster 1 not out. In reply Seaham showed why they'd won the title at a canter, passing our score without losing a wicket. Jonathan Arnold 0 for 38, Ben Foster 0 for 25, Glen Moody 0 for 24, Manav Seth 0 for 31 and Jack Holding 0 for 29.
