Then Both games were off on Saturday against Wearmouth.
On the Sunday after a huge effort by our superb ground-staff :p we managed to get the game on against littletown with the use of covers, towels and buckets, plus a severely pulled in boundary. Littletown won the toss and elected to bowl. Neil Matthews 19 and Chris Paton 25 got us off to a great start, followed by Lee Hendersons 11, Sachin Sharma 8 continued to add to the run total. Unfortunately a minor collapse (Michael Robbie 0, Connor Henderson 0, Luke Richardson 4 and Anthony Ashman 0) left us in more precarious position. However Glen Moody 20 not out, Darren Portrey 15 and Derrick Steinberg 3 added to the total to bring us to 116 all out before tea. With Ben Storey 6 for 28 being the pick of the bowlers.
After tea we continued to dodge the showers as we bowled Littletown out for 64. With Aiden Chapplow top scoring with 15. Our bowling was as follows...
Derrick Steinberg 0 - 21
Anthony Ashman 5 - 9
Chris Paton 2 - 17
Connor Henderson 3 - 14
This gave us victory by 52 runs and brought us to the top of division 2 jointly with Houghton.
