With three games of the season left to go, we got our fourth win. In our final game at the Hazard. The opponents today were fellow league strugglers Coundon. The visitors batted first making 121 all out. With catches for Jack Holding, Kieran Burrell, Stuart Archbold x 2, Neil Matthews and Chris Vallance. Our bowlers performed as follows: Chris Vallance 1 for 4 Derrick Steinberg 0 for 19 Connor Henderson 3 for 14 Rachel Petherick 1 for 54 Jack Holding 3 for 16 After tea we got off to a great start with Neil Matthews batting alomst all the way through the innings eventually ending LBW on 58, Tom Rennie was bowled for 12, Scot Gillan not out 21 and Luke Richardson not out 2. So a good win for the lads. Our final two games are away at South Hetton and Coundon. Second team review of the season. For a team that nearly folded at the start of this season, didnt enter any cups due to lack of players and conceded for the first time ever last year. the seconds did very well indeed. This season we finished fourth, rising from 7th last year. we had less points (170 compared to 213) but their were six less games this year. We won 6 and lost 5 compared the 9 and 9 last year. so well done to everyone who turned out for the seconds this season. |
