Sadly a loss at home to South Shields, Batting first they made 196 for 7. Jordan Bell 1 for 26, Manav Seth 0 for 22, Gav Snowball 0 for 31, Ben Foster 0 for 27, Derrick Steinberg 5 for 47, Conor Henderson 1 for 29 and Lee Henderson 0 for 8. In reply we were 169 all out. Week 9 - South Hetton
A win by 99 runs versus South Hetton, we batted first making 228 for 3.
Gav Snowball 0, Ben Sims 89 not out, Alan Maskell 17, Lee Henderson 79 and Michael Foster 18 not out. In reply South Hetton reached 129 all out, Ben Foster took 0 for 19, Jordan Bell 1 for 26, Derrick Steinberg 4 for 37, Gav Snowball 5 for 42.
Week 8 - Dawdon
Dawdon travelled to the Hazard, they were bowled out for 95. With Kieran Hill 0 for 17, David Wales 0 for 23, Kieran burrell 4 for 21 and Rachael Petherick 6 for 25. In reply we lost 5 wickets in the chase. Neil Matthews 56, Phil Nathan 0, Scott Gillan 12, Conor Henderson 2, Alan Maskell 11, Ralph Richardson 5 not out and Kieran Burrell 0 not out.
Week 8 Mainsforth Cup
rainton batted first making 122 for 6, Neil Matthews 14, Phil Nathan 6, Scott Gilan 17, Stuart Archbold 63, James Messer 0, Ralph Richardson 11 and Kieran Burrell 3 not out. They passed the total with 2 overs to spare with 5 wickets down. rachael Petherick 1 for 30, James Messer 1 for 14, David Wales 1 for 38, Scott Gillam 1 for 20 and Kieran Burrell 1 for 18. Ending our cup hopes for another year.
Week 9 - Brandon
We travelled to Brandon, who won by 6 wickets despite rainton posting our highest score of the year. We batted first making 242 for 4, Neil Matthews 116, Phil Nathan 40, Scott Gillan 0, Stuart Archbold 35 not out, James Messer 13, Ben Mummery 2, Kieran Burrell 14 not out.
Hetton Lyons
our rainton rockets under 9s travelled to the Lyons. Llyons posted 157, whilst rainton reached 69.
Burnmoor
Two Rainton Rockets teams travelled to Burnmoor.
The rockets made 60 whilst Burnmoor made 112.
The rainton jets however came agonisingly close, scoring 87 vs Burnmoors 92.
